After a four-day search, divers from the Regional Diving Center (RRC) from Bijela found and recovered the body of Dejan Kaluđerović, who died on May 2 in an accident in the Plavnica Channel, from the waters of Lake Skadar.
Danilo Mijajlović from the RRC told "Vijesti" that the body was found after an intensive and demanding search.
"The body was handed over to the competent services for further action. In addition to our divers, the search operation also involved members of the Diving Rescue Service of the Fire Department from Nikšić, the Capital City Protection Service, members of UPSUL, as well as numerous locals who are well acquainted with the conditions and terrain on the lake," said Mijajlović.
In this accident on May 2, Mladen Mađo Kaluđerović (44) was killed, and one person was slightly injured.
The Police Directorate (UP) announced that Kaluđerović's body was found 300 meters from Plavnica:
"300 meters from Plavnica. The lifeless body of DK was found, who is suspected of having died in a boat capsizing on Lake Skadar on May 2, 2026. The prosecutor at the State Prosecutor's Office has been notified," the UP statement reads.
