Lj.P., a woman from Podgorica, was arrested after the police, during a search of the apartment she was using, found a "Czech Army" pistol, caliber 7,65 mm, without valid documentation, with ammunition in the frame, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.
The statement states that Podgorica police officers, taking preventive measures and actions aimed at suppressing violence, as well as illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, conducted, pursuant to a court order, a search of the residential premises used by Lj. P., and that on that occasion firearms without valid documentation were found.
"Namely, during a search of the apartment used by Lj. P., police officers found a 'Czech Zbrojovka' pistol, caliber 7,65 mm, with ammunition in the frame. After collecting information, Lj. P. was, by order of the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, deprived of her liberty on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives," the statement reads.
