Montenegrin police seized firearms and ammunition in Berane and Bijelo Polje, arrested two persons of operational interest, and filed criminal charges against three for drug abuse.
The Police Directorate announced that officers from the Berane Security Department searched the apartment and other premises used by MS from that city.
"On that occasion, a CZ 99 pistol, caliber nine millimeters (mm), 46 rounds of pistol ammunition and two frames were found, without proper documentation," the statement said.
As it is added, the forensic examination determined that the found weapon belongs to another person - ZS.
The police said that the competent state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Berane was notified of the incident, who ordered that, after expert examinations were conducted at the Forensic Center in Danilovgrad, criminal charges be filed against ZS on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives.
The statement states that police officers in Berane arrested two persons of operational interest from that city, NK (21) and RA (38), on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs.
"In December, during a search of an abandoned building in Berane, police officers found marijuana linked to these individuals," the statement said.
The police said that their officers filed a criminal complaint with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje against a minor from that city, on suspicion of enabling another minor to consume marijuana.
