The police in the Ulcinj and Tivat areas controlled persons of operational interest and seized a vehicle and electronic devices, as well as marijuana.
As announced by the Police Directorate, a criminal complaint has been filed against one person suspected of street drug sales.
The police in Ulcinj conducted searches at four locations of persons of operational interest.
"During a search of the facilities used in Ulcinj and on Ada Bojana by SU (41), a person of operational interest from Ulcinj, a Land Rover Freelander vehicle with Podgorica license plates was seized, as well as electronic devices for further checks," it was announced.
It is added that the police, pursuant to a court order, also searched a facility on Ada Bojana used by a person of operational interest, DB (45) from Podgorica, for whom a national arrest warrant has been issued.
"Officers of the Tivat Security Department, undertaking activities to suppress street drug sales, controlled a vehicle with Podgorica license plates in the town of Dumidran, which was carrying MM (22) from Budva, a returnee in the commission of criminal offenses in the field of drug abuse," it is stated.
It was also announced that MM fled during the search, but that police officers soon caught up with him and took him under control. On that occasion, they added, several PVC packages containing marijuana, suspected to be intended for street sale, were found on him.
"By order of the state prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, criminal charges have been filed against MM on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs," it was announced.
