Budva police conducted intensified checks over the weekend, during which three people were arrested for possession of narcotics, five people who were driving under the influence of psychoactive substances, two people who were driving under the influence of alcohol, while one person was arrested for failing to stop at a stop sign.
This was confirmed by "Vijesti" in the Budva Security Department.
As stated, police officers checked a total of 162 vehicles and drivers over the weekend. A total of nine misdemeanor charges were filed, 49 misdemeanor warrants were issued, and four pairs of license plates were confiscated.
The control determined that six drivers were driving under the influence of alcohol, two of whom were released from custody. The testing determined that five drivers were driving under the influence of psychoactive substances, which led to their arrest.
As "Vijesti" was told, one driver was arrested at a STOP sign, and police officers later determined that he had a ban on leaving his place of residence - Podgorica.
During the weekend, as mentioned, two national actions were carried out, "Bus" and "Truck", within which 12 misdemeanor charges were filed against legal and responsible persons, and 30 misdemeanor warrants were issued.
Budva police seized narcotics from 13 people over the weekend, criminal charges were filed against two, three people were arrested, and misdemeanor charges were filed against the others.
