Police determine how fire broke out on yacht owned by Sjekloca

Police are determining that last night, three hours after midnight, a fire broke out on a yacht owned by the late Boban Sjekloća.

The Cetinjski list newspaper reported that the fire broke out in a warehouse located near Kruševo ždrijelo, where a yacht was also parked.

The Police Directorate unofficially told Vijesti that the cause of the fire on the vessel is being determined.

Sjekloća was known as one of the leaders of the Cetinje cell of the Škalja clan.

The shift leader of the Cetinje Protection and Rescue Service, Miodrag Mišo Banović, told Radio Cetinje that at around three o'clock after midnight, firefighters received a report from citizens that a yacht was on fire in a warehouse located near Kruševo Ždrijelo, reports Cetinjski list.

They also state that he pointed out that the intervention was extremely risky, because an electricity pole was also burning at the same time, but that the firefighters, through their quick reaction, managed to prevent the fire from spreading to a nearby building.

"Before the intervention itself, we had to call the emergency service of the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System to turn off the electricity in the area, because it was very risky to extinguish a fire under voltage. We were told that they could not react before morning, which surprised and disappointed us very much, because any delay in such situations can have unforeseeable consequences," reports Cetinjski list Banović.
