Police officers found eight weapons, 245 rounds of ammunition and an optical sight during searches at three locations in Berane and Kolašin, the Police Directorate (UP) announced.
The police said that on Tuesday, acting on the order of the Basic Court in Berane, their officers searched the house and outbuildings used by BK (67) from Berane.
"On that occasion, pistols of the brands "CZ 99" and "Pietro Beretta", two rifles of unknown brand and caliber, a rifle of the brand "Baikal" and 20 pieces of ammunition of unknown caliber were found in illegal possession and confiscated," the statement said.
As they stated, the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Berane was informed about the incident and stated that the elements of the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives were met in the BK stores.
The police said that the prosecutor ordered that criminal charges be filed against BK in regular proceedings after an expert examination at the Forensic Center.
They said that police officers had conducted two more searches in recent days, during which weapons and ammunition were also found and seized.
"Namely, during a search of the apartment and other premises used by N. Š. from Berane, two hunting rifles of unknown make and caliber, 22 hunting cartridges and an F - Blow gas pistol were temporarily seized," the statement says.
It is stated that the state prosecutor at the ODT in Berane was informed about the incident, and he stated that after the expert examination, criminal charges should be filed against N. Š. on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives.
"During a search of the apartment and other premises used by DD from Kolašin, 203 pieces of ammunition of various brands and calibers, as well as an optical sight, were temporarily seized," the police said.
They said that the state prosecutor at the ODT in Kolašin was informed about the incident, and that after the necessary expert opinions, he will make a statement on the legal qualification of the criminal offense.
