Officers from the Nikšić Security Department solved 11 criminal cases of aggravated theft and arrested two people from that city who were actively being sought by the police.
As announced by the Police Directorate, KA (20) was arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of aggravated theft over an extended period of time and violence in the family or family community.
"DS (27) was also arrested on suspicion of committing the crime of aggravated theft over an extended period of time," the statement said.
It is alleged that Nikšić police officers located and brought to the official premises suspects who were wanted on suspicion of having, as co-perpetrators, committed 11 burglaries into residential buildings in the territory of Nikšić at the beginning of the year, from where they stole bicycles, batteries, tools, as well as various household appliances.
"After collecting information, the competent state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić was informed of the event, who ordered that KA and DS be deprived of their liberty on suspicion of having committed 11 criminal offenses of aggravated theft in extended duration, as co-perpetrators," the police said.
The police said that KA is suspected of having previously verbally and physically attacked his wife, for which he is also charged with the criminal offense of domestic violence or family violence.
"The suspects, along with a criminal complaint, will be brought to the competent prosecutor's office for further proceedings within the legal deadline," the statement said.
