Border police officers, in cooperation with FRONTEX officers, arrested two people at two border crossings for forging documents, the Police Directorate (PD) announced.
It is alleged that during the control of Turkish citizen SMB (26), who was driving a Volkswagen vehicle with Albanian license plates, officers suspected the authenticity and correctness of the driver's license issued in Turkey.
"A detailed border control was carried out, which determined that it was a complete reproduction, or rather a forged driver's license," the statement said.
It is added that, after collecting information, SMB, by order of the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić, was arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of forging a document.
The police statement states that police officers at the Božaj border crossing checked NS (19) from Tuzi, who was driving a Porsche with Montenegrin license plates, and suspected the authenticity and correctness of the driver's license issued in Australia.
A detailed inspection, it was announced, determined that it was a forged driver's license.
"After collecting information, NS was arrested on the orders of the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of forging a document.
