Murder prevented by arresting Marković, Rečković, Muminović and team

The Special State Prosecutor's Office has initiated criminal proceedings against several individuals for creating a criminal organization, illegal possession of weapons and forgery of documents, the institution announced.

Marković, Rečković and Tarik Muminović were recently arrested, and by depriving them of their liberty, the SDT, the Special Police Department (SPO), officers of the Regional Security Center "Centar" of the Crime Prevention Sector and the Special Police Unit of the Police Directorate, and with the help of the National Security Agency (ANB), prevented the murder of this high-ranking member of the Podgorica cell of the Kavač clan.

"In the investigation, which preceded the investigation procedure, numerous material, written and electronic evidence and traces of criminal acts were collected, including firearms and ammunition, motor vehicles, electronic devices and false public documents, which members of the criminal organization used for mutual communication, transportation, secret surveillance and monitoring of the injured party, hiding and concealing their identity or intended to use to commit the criminal act of aggravated murder, the commission of which they were prevented from committing.

In the order to conduct the investigation, the Special State Prosecutor's Office proposed to the investigating judge of the High Court in Podgorica to order detention for the defendant AA, while detention has already been ordered for the defendants AR and TM, at the proposal of the Special State Prosecutor's Office, and the defendant MM has been taken to serve his sentence based on a previous conviction," the SDT statement said.
