High-ranking member of the Kavač clan, from Podgorica Radoslav Gile Stanisic (42) was the target of a multi-member group, but the plan was thwarted by a multi-day operation by the Special Police Department and the Special State Prosecutor's Office, during which several alleged mercenaries of the Skaljar clan were arrested.
During the preparation of the crime, according to information from "Vijesti", the suspected group often changed locations, apartments, cars, motorbikes, weapons, but also secretly followed and filmed Stanišić for days, which is why during the chase they were forced to modify plans to liquidate one of the leaders of the so-called "Zagorica clan", who had sided with the Kavača clan during their criminal rise.
The final act in the hunt for Stanišić's head was supposed to be a sniper shot, which the group had prepared for the crime, but the murder was prevented after the security services received intelligence, which led them to closely monitor the suspected members of the Škalja clan for days...
In a major police operation earlier this week, two apartment blocks in the Podgorica neighborhood of Stari Aerodrom were arrested. Arjan Reckovic (23), Tarik Muminovic (22) i Milos Markovic (36), for whom an international arrest warrant was issued for the most serious crimes.
Due to suspicions that they played a role in preparing the liquidation of Stanišić, criminal proceedings were also initiated against Belmin Lekić, Adnan Abdović i Vukašin Marković.
The SDT suspects the six of creating a criminal organization, illegal possession of weapons, and forging documents.
The SDT announced that Miloš Marković formed a criminal organization last year, whose members during 2025 and this year included Rečković, Muminović, Vukašin Marković, Lekić, Abdović and other, currently unknown, individuals.
They state that this criminal group was formed with the aim of committing murders, and that Stanišić was on their list.
"Which was prevented by the joint action of the Special State Prosecutor's Office, the Special Police Department, the Regional Security Center 'Centar', the Crime Prevention Sector and the Special Police Unit of the Police Directorate, with the assistance of the National Security Agency," the SDT announced.
The police have been searching for Rečković and Muminović since May last year, when, according to the prosecution, they tried to kill the now deceased in the City Quarter of Podgorica. Igor Nedović, whom, as is suspected, Rečković liquidated in July last year, on his doorstep in Stara Varoš.
"In the investigation, which preceded the investigation procedure, numerous material, written and electronic evidence and traces of criminal acts were collected, including firearms and ammunition, motor vehicles, electronic devices and false public documents, which members of the criminal organization used for mutual communication, transportation, secret observation and monitoring of the injured party, hiding and concealing their identity or intended to use to commit the criminal act of aggravated murder, the commission of which they were prevented from committing," the SDT statement reads.
In the order to conduct the investigation, the SDT proposed to the investigating judge of the Higher Court in Podgorica to order detention for the defendant Abdović, while the suspects Rečković and Muminović have already been ordered to be detained.
Defendant Miloš Marković, who was arrested with Rečković and Muminović, was taken to serve his sentence under an earlier verdict.
For almost 20 years, Stanišić has been mentioned in police records as one of the leaders of the so-called Zagorička criminal group.
Police data, as well as numerous media reports, show that the "Zagorička group" was at one time close to the Podgorica cell of the Škaljari clan, but during their criminal rise, they sided with the Kavački clan.
Radoslav Stanišić's name has been mentioned in the media since 2010 due to an attack on a then-minor BM, son of the former leader of the Movement for Change Nebojše Medojevića, why is he with his cousin Bye. later sentenced to 16 and 14 months in prison, respectively.
Two years later, Stanišić and several other people committed serious violence at a swimming pool in Podgorica, when they tried to enter the sports facility without tickets.
For causing serious bodily harm to a pool worker and two visitors, Stanišić was sentenced to 22 months in prison, and he only reported for bail in 2018.
In April 2014, Radoslav Stanišić, with two other young men, went on a rampage in the Clinical Center in Podgorica, after their friend shot himself in the head, and three months later, he was wounded in the center of Podgorica, after a clash with Boban Laković.
While the court proceedings for the rampage at the pool were ongoing, Stanišić was arrested in December 2015 on suspicion that he and two men from Baran attempted to extort 205.000 euros and three high-class cars.
He was also convicted for a fight with members of the Police Intervention Unit in "Velvet" at the end of 2016.
He was arrested in 2020 on charges of ordering a series of burnings of "Vijesti" vehicles from 2011 to 2014, but was later acquitted of these charges.
A year before that, it was already clear that the “Zagorice clan” had sided with the Kavčani. At dusk in 2019, Radoslav and Vidoje Stanišić, in front of the Podgorica Security Center, were waiting for one of the clan leaders. Slobodan Kašćelan, after the detention of this Kotor resident was lifted on bail.
He was already on the liquidation list
Back in 2021, Radoslav Gile Stanišić was first on the list of people to be killed by a criminal group formed by Janko Vukadinović (31), but the arrest of a group of suspects saved his life.
The SDT then foiled the plan, and the indictment states that Vukadinović's group was supposed to receive between 170.000 and 200.000 euros for the murder of Stanišić, as well as Belgraders Veljko Belivuk and Marko Miljković, as well as one of the leaders of the Kavač clan, Slobodan Kašćelan.
Co-witness Hasan Turković told prosecutors that Stanišić was first on the list, stating that they planned to blow up the Podgorica resident by placing explosives under his car.
And then fortunate circumstances saved Stanišić's life - a month before the arrest of Vukadinović's group, Zagoričanin was reported by a then-minor NM for kidnapping him. Stanišić was later acquitted of these charges.
Stanišić was lucky again in March this year when he presented himself to the Emergency Unit with a gunshot wound to his leg. The police suspected that Stanišić had been shot in the lower leg by negligence, and for this reason, BiH citizen Lazar Božić (29) was arrested.
The wounded Stanišić then refused to cooperate with the police, and Božić was arrested in an armored Audi in which a gun with 15 bullets was found.
And they asked for Medenica from him.
The name of Radoslav Gil Stanišić was also mentioned in the media at the beginning of February this year, when news emerged that the police, during the search for the fugitive Miloš Medenica, had searched two houses of the leader of the Zagorička group.
Then the UP searched Stanišić's house in Zagorič and Bratonožići, but Medenica was not found.
The police did not directly link Stanišić to the fact that he was Medenica's accomplice and helper during his escape before he was sentenced to a long prison sentence.
