Increased police forces deployed during the holidays

The Police Directorate, in anticipation of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the restoration of Montenegro's independence, will undertake increased preventive and operational activities, engaging all available capacities, in order to ensure stable public order and peace before, during and after the holidays.

The Police Directorate said that they will do this in order to ensure the smooth and safe operation of road traffic, prevent the commission of criminal offenses and misdemeanors, as well as preserve the personal and property security of all citizens and tourists in Montenegro.

"Special emphasis will be placed on securing public gatherings at certain locations that have been assessed as high-risk events, where increased police forces, resources, equipment and techniques will be deployed, which will act preventively, but also act decisively, professionally and indiscriminately," the police said.

It is emphasized that the police forces will operate with zero tolerance for any individual or organized attempt to disrupt public order, cause incidents, violence, or any other form of security threat.

"We call on citizens to contribute to the preservation of stable public order and peace and a safe environment through their responsible and conscientious behavior during the holidays, so that the celebration of the national holiday proceeds with dignity and without incidents," the statement said.
