United Montenegro (UCG) announced that it strongly condemns the brutal physical attack on their colleague and councilor in the Capital City Assembly, Milivoje Brković.
According to them, the way he was attacked represents a pattern of criminal behavior.
"From everything we know so far about the brutal attack on Brković, we conclude that his life was in danger. Fortunately, our colleague was transferred to the hospital in a timely manner. While trying to protect a fellow citizen who was asking for help, he was hit with a metal object and immediately lost consciousness. He was then beaten on the street," the UCG statement states.
The party adds that the people who did this are persons of interest to security and are on the run.
"We ask the authorities, the police and the prosecutor's office, to arrest the perpetrators as soon as possible because, given their criminal records, they pose a serious danger," it states.
They said that the attack on Brković and his life would not change him or them, nor, as they said, would it instill fear in them.
"We despise that milieu and will do everything to rid this country of bandits and criminals, a demi-world that has ruled over other people's lives for almost two decades," it concludes.
