The Police Directorate has banned the use of drones in a wider area during the Tivat Summit and announced filming locations in several municipalities, as well as a changed traffic regime, including occasional complete or partial closures.
The Police Directorate announced that, on the occasion of the European Union - Western Balkans Summit, they will be filming on Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the municipalities of Podgorica, Tivat, Herceg Novi, Kotor, Budva, Cetinje (Lovćen and Grahovo), as well as in the waters of the Bay of Kotor and Tivat.
It is added that the police will film the wider and narrower area of the Summit venue, as well as the whereabouts and movements of officials, state representatives, political delegations, diplomatic missions and international organizations, before, during and after the event.
The police said that on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the use of drones is prohibited in the areas of Cetinje, Njeguš, Lovćen, Tivat and Kotor, except for drones of security services, in order to secure events in accordance with the law.
Supervision of the use of drones, as stated, will be carried out by the Police Directorate and the Civil Aviation Agency.
The police said that, in order to ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the international Summit, the traffic regime will be temporarily changed, including occasional complete and/or partial traffic closures.
On some main and local roads, starting tomorrow and ending on Saturday, traffic will be suspended for all vehicle categories.
It is stated that traffic will be temporarily changed on Thursday from Podgorica Airport to the Parliament of Montenegro, from 14 to 16 p.m.
The police said that traffic from the "Božaj" border crossing (BP) to Podgorica Airport will be suspended from 19 p.m. to 21 p.m.
Traffic from Podgorica Airport, via the bypass over the "Luča" bridge, to Cetinje will be suspended from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Kotor - Tivat - Budva road will be closed to traffic from 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the Njeguši - Trojica road from 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
On Friday, traffic from Podgorica Airport, via the bypass over the "Luča" bridge, to Cetinje will be suspended from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and the Budva - Kotor - Tivat road from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., while the road from Jaz Boulevard to Tivat will be closed to traffic from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
On Saturday, traffic from Podgorica Airport, via the bypass over the "Luča" bridge, to Cetinje will be suspended from 14 pm to 17 pm, and the Budva - Kotor - Tivat road from 13 pm to 16 pm.
Regarding the traffic changes in Tivat, the police said that a complete traffic closure for all vehicle categories will be in effect on Thursday and Friday in Istarska and Arsenalska Streets.
"On other roads in the city center, traffic will continue to flow smoothly locally on the two mentioned days, meaning there will be no possibility of vehicles exiting onto the main road or vehicles entering the city zone in Tivat from the main road," the police said in a statement.
They stated that vehicles with priority of passage (Emergency services, Fire Department, Municipal Police, Funeral Services, etc.) will be allowed to enter the Tivat city zone with official vehicles from the main road and exit the Tivat city zone onto the main road, but with mandatory prior consultation with the Tivat Security Department's Duty Service, at number 122, and with an agreed police escort.
The police said that traffic from Tivat via the Kamenari-Lepetane ferry to the "Sitnica" border crossing will be closed periodically on Thursday and Saturday, in accordance with real needs.
"We would like to note that, due to unforeseen traffic circumstances, there may be a slight deviation in the time scheduled for the closure of the aforementioned roads, in the sense that some roads may be closed a little earlier or that the closure time may be extended," the police statement said.
They stated that from midnight tonight until Friday at 21 pm, the arrival and departure of vessels from the Porto Montenegro marina will be suspended.
"Maritime traffic will also be restricted in the wider area of the water area around the protected area," the police said.
