The Podgorica police, in cooperation with the Higher and Basic State Prosecutor's Offices in Podgorica, processed two people on suspicion of committing six criminal offenses, in which marijuana and cocaine were found, the Police Directorate announced.
It is stated that, while undertaking activities to locate and arrest persons wanted at the local and national levels, officers of the Podgorica Security Department located BV (27) from Podgorica in the Zabjelo neighborhood, who was wanted on suspicion of having committed multiple criminal offenses.
"During the examination, a certain amount of cocaine and marijuana was found on the person," the statement said.
It is stated that, by order of the state prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, BV was arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs, endangering security, causing general danger and violent behavior.
"Also, by order of the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, criminal charges will be filed against him on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of theft, to the detriment of one person," the statement says.
It is added that police officers, acting on operational information, searched the house used by DM from Podgorica, and on that occasion found a large PVC package with about 100 grams of marijuana, as well as other items with traces of drugs.
"After conducting a criminal investigation, DM was arrested on the order of the state prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs," the police said.
