A foreign citizen was rescued today on Durmitor, in an operation by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) Air Helicopter Unit, members of the Mountain Rescue Service (GSS) and the Žabljak Protection and Rescue Service.

As announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a foreign citizen was rescued in the Bobotov Kuk area and handed over to the first aid team in Žabljak.

"We would like to inform the public that with the engagement of the MUP's helicopter unit, members of the Mountain Rescue Service and the Žabljak Protection and Rescue Service, a rescue operation was successfully carried out on Durmitor, in the Bobotov Kuk area, who was handed over to the first aid team in Žabljak," the MUP said in a statement.

The GSS previously stated on Facebook that the call for help was sent through the 112 Operational Communications Center of the Ministry of Interior's Directorate for Protection and Rescue.
