Democratic People's Party (DNP) MP Vladislav Bojović assessed that the Police Directorate's reaction after yesterday's search of the family home of that party's councilor in Pljevlja, Dragiša Kljajević, represents "the scandal of scandals."
He described the Police Department's statement as "unfounded" and added that it represented an attempt to cover up the entire case, after, as he pointed out, no weapons were found during the search.

"After no weapons were found during the search, we expected a concrete reaction and procedural actions, not such a scandalous statement with which the Police Directorate actually wants to cover up this shameful, but unsuccessful attempt to compromise our councilor and, therefore, the current initiative of the Democratic People's Party to annul the recognition of the so-called Kosovo in the Pljevlja local parliament," he said in a press release.
Bojović called on the Police Directorate to prosecute the person who falsely reported Kljajević, emphasizing that this was a criminal offense.
"A first-class scandal is the fact that the Police Directorate urgently responds to false reports by mail, while not reacting at all to the threats that are continuously being made on social networks to officials of the Democratic People's Party, led by its president Milan Knežević," said the DNP MP and asked the Minister of Interior Danilo Šaranović and the Director of the Police Directorate Lazar Šćepanović whether they gave their consent for such action.
Bojović also asked whose other family homes had been searched in this way.
"And since the Minister of Internal Affairs declared himself incompetent, we have reason to see a clear political background in this case. Also, bearing in mind that Minister Danilo Šaranović publicly defended this police action, we ask him whether he gave consent for this action or Lazar Šćepanović. Whoever did it must bear responsibility," concluded the DNP MP.
