Bijelo Polje: Three criminal charges filed for illegal construction and tree felling

The Bijelo Polje police filed criminal charges against MS and MP from that city on suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of constructing a building without a building permit and documentation.

This was announced by the Police Administration.

Criminal charges were reportedly filed with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje.

"It is suspected that MS, during 2023 in the town of Majstorovina, without previously submitting an application and the necessary documentation, began construction of a 4x5 meter weekend house, while MP is suspected of having begun construction of three 4x5 meter weekend houses in the same town in 2025, without the necessary application and documentation," the statement states.

The UP also said that a criminal complaint had been filed against a third person, SJ from Bijelo Polje, on suspicion of committing a criminal offense of arbitrariness, by illegally cutting down several trees in the yard of an elementary school in Bijelo Polje in November 2025, without consent and without any legal basis.

"The Police Directorate, as a law enforcement body, will continue to indiscriminately, without exception, decisively and transparently take measures and actions aimed at combating all forms of crime, raising citizens' awareness of the importance of respecting the law, as well as protecting their property and the environment," it concludes.
