"MV was brought to the official premises of the Podgorica Security Department and, after official measures and actions were taken, was deprived of his liberty by order of the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of violent behavior in conjunction with the criminal offense of endangering security," the statement said.
The UP added that the suspect, along with a criminal report, will be brought before the acting prosecutor for further jurisdiction.
"Further police and prosecutorial measures and actions regarding this event are continuing," the UP statement reads.
Interior Minister Danilo Šaranović announced earlier today that Podgorica police had detained MV, one of the suspects in the attack on Brković.
The Police Directorate previously announced that they had identified Tomislav Šćepanović and Mišo Vešović as suspects in the attack on Brković last week and that a national manhunt had been launched for them.
Šaranović stated in a press release that one of the suspects had been located and detained.
"I have just been informed by the Director of the Police Administration, Lazar Šćepanović, that officers from the Podgorica Security Department have located and detained MV from Podgorica," said Šaranović.
He said that further police and prosecutorial measures and actions are continuing, about which the Police Directorate will inform the public.
