Kotor: Police arrest three people suspected of unauthorized use of payment cards of a Dutch citizen

Kotor police arrested MS (38), AS (39) and BA (25) on suspicion of unauthorized use of payment cards belonging to a Dutch citizen, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.

"Officers of the Kotor Security Department, by taking measures and actions within their jurisdiction, have shed light on the ongoing criminal offense of forgery and misuse of credit cards and non-cash payment cards committed in co-perpetration, to the detriment of a Dutch citizen, and, upon the order of the prosecutor, have deprived three persons of their liberty. MS (38), AS (39) and BA (25) were deprived of their liberty on suspicion that, as co-perpetrators, they had used the payment cards of the injured party without authorization for a longer period of time, making payments at several points of sale, and in this way obtained unlawful material gain for themselves," the statement states.

The UP added that by implementing operational-tactical measures and actions, police officers identified facilities where payments were suspected to have been made with stolen payment cards, and that they collected material evidence and information that suggests that the arrested persons committed the criminal offense in question.

"The competent state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor was informed of the information gathered, and he ordered that MS, AS and BA be deprived of their liberty on suspicion that they, as co-perpetrators, committed the aforementioned criminal offense," the UP said.
