Kotor man arrested on suspicion of sexually harassing nine-year-old girl

RB (40) from Kotor was arrested on suspicion of sexually harassing a nine-year-old girl from Herceg Novi.

The police announced that RB is suspected of committing this crime last Thursday, June 11, at around 5:30 p.m., to the detriment of a foreign citizen residing in Herceg Novi, by stopping the vehicle he was driving on the street and inviting the girl who was walking to get into the vehicle with him, which she refused and walked away from the vehicle, after which the incident was reported to the police.

"Police officers identified the person through intensive operational work, after which the person was found in Kotor and brought to the police premises of the Herceg Novi Security Department for criminal processing, and then, by order of the competent state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Herceg Novi, he was deprived of his liberty," the police statement said.

RB was, with a criminal complaint, brought before the competent state prosecutor, who issued a decision to detain him in police premises for up to 72 hours, until he was brought before the investigating judge of the Basic Court in Herceg Novi.
