Operation "Stranac": Police have imposed 640 measures against foreign citizens since June 1st

During the "Stranac" operation, which was carried out by the police from June 1 to 14, and which is aimed at increased control of the movement, residence and work of foreign citizens in Montenegro, a total of 640 repressive measures were taken.

As announced by the Police Directorate, the action was carried out across the entire country with the participation of all organizational units, and since the beginning of June, around 40 intensified local controls have been carried out.

The police expelled five foreign citizens, while 17 were forcibly removed from Montenegro. The residence permits of 75 foreign citizens were cancelled, and the procedure for terminating temporary residence was initiated for 16.

Also, 105 decisions on return were issued, while 422 misdemeanor orders were issued to foreign citizens, or misdemeanor reports were filed.

The Police Directorate stated that the action was aimed at controlling the legality of residence and work of foreign citizens, as well as at detecting and sanctioning irregularities in that area.
