Nikšić police have shed light on a fight between several people in Kličevo from May this year, and have filed criminal charges against four people, the Police Directorate (UP) announced.
"Officers of the Nikšić Security Department have shed light on a criminal offense with elements of violence committed at the end of May this year and, upon the order of the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić, have filed criminal charges against four persons on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of violent behavior in conjunction with the criminal offense of serious bodily injury, to the detriment of one person," the statement reads.
As announced by the Police Department, on May 24, 2026, citizens reported to the Nikšić Security Department that a fight had broken out between several people in the Nikšić neighborhood of Kličevo. Police officers immediately went to the scene, where they found the injured party with visible injuries.
"After receiving medical attention, the injured party was found to have serious injuries to the head and body. Due to the severity of the injuries, he was referred for further treatment to the Clinical Center of Montenegro in Podgorica. Taking measures and actions to shed light on this event, police officers identified four suspects from Nikšić: BB (50), DB (54), MB (39) and RK (26)," the statement said.
It is suspected, they add, that the aforementioned individuals physically attacked the injured party on the night between May 23 and 24, hitting him several times with batons in the head and body, as a result of which he sustained serious physical injuries.
"The competent state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić was informed of the event, who ordered that criminal charges be filed against the suspects on suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of violent behavior in conjunction with the criminal offense of grievous bodily harm," it concludes.
