Samardžić: I am not close to Zvicer, real estate registered for legalization in January

Davor Samardžić reacted to the article "UP: Kovačević and Samardžić built illegally in Grahovac" which was published today on the Vijesti portal.

We are reporting Samardžić's reaction in full:

"Regarding the text published on your portal on June 17, 2026 under the title 'UP: Kovačević and Samardžić illegally built in Grahovac', I demand the immediate removal of the controversial content and the publication of a correction to the incorrect allegations made against me.

The article in question contains serious and unproven allegations that I am close to the head of the so-called Kavača cell, or to certain individuals associated with organized crime. Such allegations are completely untrue and represent a gross violation of my reputation, honor, dignity, as well as the reputation of my family and business activities.

It is particularly concerning that such serious accusations were published without prior fact-checking and without addressing me as the person to whom the text refers. I believe that such conduct violates the basic principle of professional and responsible journalism, with complete disregard for the consequences that such publications can have on an individual's private, family and business life.

Also, the statements regarding the object in question are incorrect. I am attaching documentation showing that back in January 2026, I submitted a request for legalization for the object in the Grahovac Administrative District to the Cadastre and State Property Administration in Nikšić. The aforementioned documentation confirms that the competent authorities were aware of the existence of the object, and that the information in the text could have been easily verified in official records before publication.

By publishing unverified and untrue claims, I have been seriously harmed, and the public has been presented with a false image of me, because everyone who knows me knows me as a family man and businessman who has earned everything through honest work and effort.

It is unacceptable that without a single piece of evidence and without prior fact-checking, anyone is publicly linked to organized crime.

"This kind of irresponsible reporting represents a direct target for me and my family, with potentially serious consequences for our safety, privacy and reputation," Samardžić said.
