Councilor of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) in Nikšić, Rajko Perović and his brother Ž. P., reported to the Security Department in that city yesterday that they were verbally attacked on Krsta Kostića Street, in front of a building, by people they knew, Ž. D. and NG, stating that insulting and threatening words were addressed to them on that occasion, the Police Directorate announced.

"Police officers brought Ž. D. and NG to the official premises of the Nikšić Security Department to collect information regarding the reported event. Also, information was collected from the complainants, additional measures and actions were taken, including the seizure of video footage from surveillance cameras of the facility near the scene of the incident," the statement reads.

The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić will issue a statement on the legal qualification of the event after collecting additional information.

Also, Perović reported to the Nikšić police on July 5 that, while he was at Lake Krupac with his brother Ž. P., he was physically attacked by IG, while NG used offensive words against him.

"Acting on that report, police officers interviewed IG and N. G., who were warned, at the request of the complainant, of their obligation to respect the law and refrain from behavior that could endanger other persons," the police said.
