The Higher State Prosecutor's Office (VDT) in Podgorica has filed an indictment against AC for causing a traffic accident in Budva on May 20, in which motorcyclist IR died.

As announced by the VDT, AC is charged with a serious offense against the safety of public transport.

It is stated that the indictment charges AC with endangering traffic and endangering the life and limb of people on May 20th in the Kamenovo settlement in Budva.

"Under the influence of psychoactive substances - benzodiazepines and without a valid license, while driving a 'VW Tiguan' motor vehicle, he did not drive in the right lane, but instead crossed into the opposite lane, intended for vehicles moving from the opposite direction, and on that occasion made contact with a 'Yamaha' motorcycle driven by IR," the statement says.

It is added that IR suffered serious, life-threatening injuries on that occasion, as a result of which he died.
