Golf caught fire on the highway

A "Golf" car with Serbian license plates caught fire today at around 16 p.m. on the section near the Kosman tunnel on the highway from Podgorica to Kolašin.

There were no injuries in the incident, but Monteput officials had to temporarily close one lane of the Princess Ksenija highway due to a fire on a car.

Fire crews responded, the fire was extinguished, and traffic returned to normal a little later.

Car fires on the highway from Podgorica to Kolašin are a common occurrence during the summer months because the constant climb creates a huge strain on the engine.
