Budva police officers have shed light on the case of falsifying a medical report used by Vidoje Stanišić to justify his absence from the trial, the Police Directorate announced.
According to official data, criminal charges have been filed against doctor Mitar Radulović (45) from Budva and clinic director Vanja Banićević (49).
"Police officers from the Budva Security Department discovered a case of falsifying a medical report aimed at justifying the absence of a member of an OKG in court, and, after conducting investigative measures and actions and at the order of the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor, they filed criminal charges against two people - a doctor from a private health institution and the director of that institution," the UP announced.
They state that a criminal complaint has been filed against Radulović, a doctor employed at a private health institution - the "Medical Center" Polyclinic in Budva, on suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of forging an official document, as well as against Banićević (49) from Budva, the director of that health institution, on suspicion that she committed the same criminal offense through incitement.
"It is suspected that MR, as the doctor on duty on June 9, 2026, prepared a medical report in which he entered false information, although the person in whose name the report was written - VS from Podgorica, a member of an organized criminal group - did not undergo a medical examination, nor was the examination performed at all, which is the basis for issuing medical documentation. As suspected, the falsely prepared medical report was intended to serve as an excuse for the OKG member - VS to miss the main hearing before the High Court in Podgorica, which was scheduled for June 10, 2026," the statement reads.
It was explained that after compiling the report, the suspected doctor certified the report with his facsimile and initials, and then with the seal of the health institution:
"Thus, as it is suspected, he created an official document with false content." "Further criminal investigation determined that the director of the VB polyclinic, as it is suspected, at the request of her friend from Podgorica, and through a nurse employed at the aforementioned health institution, incited the on-duty doctor MR to create the medical report in question with false data. The medical documentation thus created was used before the Higher Court in Podgorica on June 10, 2026, when VS's lawyer submitted it to the court to justify his absence from the scheduled main trial hearing," the statement reads.
"Vijesti" has learned that the false report was requested by SV Podgorica
