The Ministry of Justice of Montenegro announced today that it understands that the extradition procedure of Vuk Vulević to Montenegro is ongoing before the competent judicial authorities of Serbia.
"The Ministry of Justice was informed, through the Interpol NCB Podgorica, that the defendant Vuk Vulević was deprived of his liberty in Belgrade on July 11, 2026, based on an international arrest warrant from Montenegro," the Ministry of Justice said in a statement published on the social network Facebook.
The government department headed by Bojan Božović added that in addition to the international arrest warrant, there is also an extradition request in force for Vulević, which the Ministry of Justice sent to the competent authorities of Serbia on February 17, 2025, after receiving information that he was on the territory of that country.
"In this regard, it is understood that extradition proceedings are underway before the competent judicial authorities of the Republic of Serbia at the request of Montenegro," the Ministry of Justice said.
