Seventy-five-year-old DK died in a forest accident after a tree trunk fell on her while being cut down by her three-year-old husband BK.
After the accident, the seventy-eight-year-old called the police, who arrested him on suspicion of manslaughter.
The Police Directorate announced that police officers from the Cetinje Security Department arrested him today, on the orders of the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Cetinje.
"Today, at around 9:40 a.m., a person named BK (78) from Cetinje informed the Cetinje Security Department's Duty Service by phone that in the town of Rokoči, Cetinje Municipality, while cutting down a forest, he had used a chainsaw to fell a tree about 21 meters long, which after falling made contact with his wife, the now deceased DK (75), in the area of her body, causing her bodily injuries, as a result of which she died on the spot," the UP announced.
They state that after the measures and actions taken, by order of the state prosecutor, BK was deprived of his liberty on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of negligent homicide.
"He will also be brought before the prosecutor today for further proceedings. By order of the competent state prosecutor, an autopsy of the body of the deceased DK has been ordered," the UP said.
