The State Prosecutor on Duty of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor proposed ordering detention for the suspect M.LJ. (born 1958) from Kotor due to the existence of reasonable suspicion that he committed a criminal offense - serious offenses against the safety of public transport.
"On July 12, 2026, in the town of Lipci, Kotor Municipality, the suspect was driving a passenger motor vehicle - a bus that was involved in a traffic accident in which a female passenger in the SJ bus (2005 model) from Niš was killed, while 16 passengers sustained bodily injuries," the Kotor ODT reminds in a statement.
