Officers of the Border Police Sector in the northern and southern regions have processed two individuals with criminal charges at the basic state prosecutor's offices in Bijelo Polje and Ulcinj, on suspicion of forging license plates and driver's licenses.
Officers of the Regional Border Police Center "North" - Border Police Station Bijelo Polje stopped a BMW passenger vehicle with Belgian license plates for inspection on the Bijelo Polje - Dobrakovo border crossing road.
"On that occasion, the driver RP (29) from Bijelo Polje, a citizen of Montenegro, was checked. A check through the records determined that the vehicle in question was deregistered in 2022, at which time the original license plates were returned. The state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje was informed of the incident, who, after collecting information, stated that in the specific incident there were essential elements of the criminal offense of forgery of a document, and ordered that criminal charges be filed against RP on suspicion of having committed the aforementioned criminal offense," the police announced.
Officers of the Regional Border Police Center "South" - Border Police Station Ulcinj filed a criminal complaint with the State Prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Ulcinj against a Kosovo citizen BK (53) on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of forging a document.
"Namely, the named person, during the intended crossing of the Joint Border Crossing Point 'Sukobin - Murićani', gave the border police officers a German driving license, which the police officers determined was a forgery. By order of the State Prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Ulcinj, criminal charges were filed against this person on suspicion of having committed the aforementioned criminal offense," it was announced.
