Border police seized two vehicles yesterday - one is wanted by Interpol, and the other was found unregistered in traffic with a color that does not match the original, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.
"Officers of the Border Police Sector seized two vehicles yesterday - one because it was wanted by Interpol, and the other because the person was driving a vehicle that was not registered and whose external characteristics did not match those stated in the expired vehicle license," the statement said.
The UP added that officers from the Dobrakovo Border Police Station, yesterday at the "Dobrakovo" Border Crossing, at the entrance to Montenegro, discovered a vehicle driven by Montenegrin citizen DA, which is wanted by the NCB Interpol Brussels.
"The 'Mercedes' vehicle, with German license plates, was seized and handed over to police officers from the Bijelo Polje Security Department for further action," the statement said.
The UP added that border police officers also yesterday, in the town of Vilusi, in the municipality of Nikšić, checked a "Nissan Patrol" vehicle with Podgorica license plates, driven by MP (42) from Podgorica.
"A vehicle inspection determined that the vehicle's registration certificate expired in 2024, and that the black color of the vehicle does not match the red color of the vehicle specified in the registration certificate. The vehicle was seized from the Ministry of Justice for further checks, while misdemeanor warrants were issued to the person for two violations of the Road Traffic Safety Act," the statement reads.
