The duty prosecutor of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Bijelo Polje conducted an on-site investigation last night in the premises of the Put Gross company in Industijska Street in Bijelo Polje, after VL (61) was seriously injured earlier yesterday due to a fall from a height.

After undergoing examinations at the Bijelo Polje hospital, she was urgently transported to the Clinical Center of Montenegro.

The on-site investigation was carried out in the presence of an occupational safety expert, as well as officers from the Bijelo Polje Police Department.

The ODT told "Vijesti" that the worker suffered serious injuries after falling through an open space from the third to the second floor in the warehouse part of the building.

The cause of the fall will be determined after an expert examination and other evidence is collected, the ODT announced.

This is the second incident in four days in which Bijelo Polje workers have suffered serious injuries at work.

Pellet factory worker G.Š. (43) was seriously injured on Friday after a pallet of beech planks fell on him at the production facility of the company "Pelengić Trade" in the Nedakusi settlement.

The ODT announced that expert reports will be conducted to determine in detail the causes of these accidents, as well as whether there were any failures in implementing mandatory safety measures in the workplace.
