Nikšić: Criminal charges against father and minor son for attacking thirteen-year-old

The Nikšić police filed a criminal complaint against PP (44) from that city on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of abuse, while a criminal complaint was filed against his fifteen-year-old son on suspicion of causing minor bodily harm to a thirteen-year-old.

This was announced today by the Police Administration (UP).

As stated in the statement, the duty service of the Nikšić Security Department was informed by telephone last night, at around 21:50 PM, by citizens that a verbal and physical conflict had occurred between minors in the courtyard of the "Luka Simonović" Elementary School.

"Police officers were immediately dispatched to the scene and found a thirteen-year-old minor from Nikšić, who was transported to the Emergency Department of the Nikšić Medical Center, where the doctor on duty diagnosed him with minor physical injuries. After receiving medical assistance, the minor, in the presence of a family member, approached the official premises of the Nikšić Security Department to provide information about the circumstances of the incident," the UP statement said.

The police added that minors aged 15 and 13 were also found at the scene, as well as their father PP (44), from whom police officers collected information in the official premises.

Also, minors aged 15 and 13 were diagnosed with minor physical injuries by doctors.

"After collecting information from several persons and implementing official measures and actions, the acting state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić assessed that PP's actions contained elements of the criminal offense of abuse, while his fifteen-year-old son's actions contained elements of the criminal offense of slight bodily harm, committed to the detriment of a thirteen-year-old minor, and ordered that criminal charges be filed against them," it states.

The UP said that, as suspected, the incident was preceded by a verbal argument, and then a physical conflict between the injured thirteen-year-old minor and two minors aged 15 and 13.

"After that, it is suspected that their father PP (44) arrived at the scene and physically attacked the injured minor, inflicting several blows to the head and body," the statement concludes.
