Officers of the Crime Prevention Sector today, on the order of the Higher Court in Podgorica, searched several residential and other buildings in Podgorica and Kolašin in search of internationally wanted persons, and the target of the operation was the fugitive police officer Nebojša Bugarin, Vijesti has learned unofficially.
According to Vijesti, Bojan Madžgalj's apartment was also searched.
The Police Directorate announced that the searches were carried out as part of intensified activities carried out during the summer tourist season to locate internationally wanted persons.
They stated that, acting on orders from the Higher Court in Podgorica, police officers searched residential and other buildings where there was reason to suspect that internationally wanted persons were hiding or residing.
"As part of these activities, searches were carried out of facilities suspected of being used or being occupied by the internationally wanted person Nebojša Bugarin," the police announced.
They added that the Police Directorate continues intensive activities aimed at finding and detaining internationally wanted persons, perpetrators of serious crimes.
An international arrest warrant has been issued for Bugarin, a former police officer. The Special State Prosecutor's Office charges him with being a member of the criminal organization of fugitive police officer Ljubo Milović, which the prosecution claims acted in favor of the Kavača criminal clan and participated in cocaine smuggling and other serious crimes.
