Krapović: Let Radulović continue to file false reports, we will continue to crack down on crime

The Democrats will not back down from Veselin Radulović, nor from the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), nor from police and other cartels, nor from hundreds of fabricated reports, said the party's vice president, Dragan Krapović.

He reacted to the news that lawyer Veselin Radulović filed a criminal complaint with the Special State Prosecutor's Office against the Democrats, Interior Minister Danilo Šaranović, and responsible persons in the Ministry of Interior and the Police Directorate for, as he claims, unlawfully denying employment to Ognjen Đurđić in the Police Directorate.

"The hyperproduction of false criminal reports against Veselin Radulović, a mentor from the DPS and the police-criminal milieu, will, as we told him earlier, receive an institutional response. So let the prosecution determine who is telling the truth and who is panickingly fabricating, inventing and planting in a rarely cheap and transparent manner," Krapović said.

He said the public needs to know "who is lecturing us about legality."

"Radulović was fired from the police after, as an inspector of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he committed fraud with car tires. Hence his nickname 'Gumar'. He appealed the decision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but the court finally determined that fraud existed. So, the man who ended his police career because of fraud with tires is today trying to criminalize the authorities who, in accordance with the Law, eliminate all unauthorized influences from the police," adds the vice president of the Democrats.

He said that they have reason to suspect that Radulović is not a "lone whistleblower," but part of an organized structure made up of high-ranking DPS officials, "parts of the former police criminal cartel and their helpers," with the clear goal of waging a political war against the Democrats with false criminal reports because the competent authorities are "breaking up their criminal strongholds and cleaning up the security sector."

Krapović also said that they understand why Radulović "defends that world so vehemently."

"When you yourself finished your police career as a petty fraudster with tires, it is quite natural that you are more bothered by those who arrest criminals than by the criminals they arrest. But he has the wrong address. The Democrats will not back down before him, nor before the DPS, nor before the police and other cartels, nor before a hundred fabricated reports. Let him continue to write false reports. We will continue to crack down on crime and support true fighters against crime. Panic and nervousness will lead you to final defeat, because no one will ever be stronger than the state. The mafia has played its part, the state now dictates the pace," the reaction reads.
