Tragedy on Luštica: Young man dies while swimming in the sea

A young male person, whose identity has not yet been officially determined, died today at around 1:30 p.m. while swimming in the sea on Pecka beach, in the Luštica Bay tourist resort complex in Krtoli near Tivat.

According to unofficial information, the young man, who was already showing no signs of life, was pulled from the sea and attempted to be resuscitated by members of the Luštica Bay Emergency Services fire department. The Luštica Bay Ambulance also intervened, but to no avail.

The exact cause of the young man's death is not yet known, or whether he drowned or fell ill before that due to a possible heart attack. This will be determined by an autopsy of the victim's body.
