As part of activities aimed at suppressing street sales and distribution of narcotics, as well as increased control of persons of operational interest (OIL) and persons associated with them, the police in Ulcinj seized seven packages of marijuana from a minor, cocaine from a foreign citizen, and a motorcycle and jet skis from OIL.
"As part of activities aimed at combating street drug sales, police officers checked a 15-year-old minor from Podgorica on Mala Plaža in Ulcinj, from whom seven packages containing marijuana were found and seized," the Police Directorate said in a statement.
As it is added, information was collected from the minor, in the presence of officers from the Ulcinj Social Work Center, about the circumstances of the event, which was reported to the state prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, who will subsequently declare the legal qualification of the act.
The police said that a freedman MR (24), a citizen of Kosovo, was arrested for committing a violation of the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse, and cocaine was found in his possession in a catering facility on Mala Plaža.
After being brought before a misdemeanor judge, MR was taken for further proceedings to the inspector for foreigners, who imposed a sanction on him - forced removal.
"Police officers controlled a person of operational interest, SU (41) from Ulcinj, from whom a 'Honda' motorcycle was temporarily seized, in order to conduct appropriate checks. In a coordinated activity with officers of the Inspection Affairs Directorate, the Municipal Police and the Port Authority, eight jet skis were temporarily seized from persons of operational interest, DK (39) and AK (46) from Ulcinj," the police announced.
