French citizen missing in Tivat

French citizen Paul Andrea Legrand has disappeared in Tivat and a search is underway for him.

This was confirmed today by the Tivat Security Department, which was notified of the disappearance of the Frenchman by the Montenegrin Police Directorate on Tuesday, September 1st.

Previously, Legrand's sister tried to get more information about her brother, who, as she stated, had not contacted his family for almost a month, through Facebook groups that gather foreign citizens residing in or visiting Montenegro.

Legrand was allegedly staying in accommodation in the Tivat settlement of Mažina.

The family, who last contacted the missing young man on August 10, said Paul is about 190 centimeters tall and has brown eyes and hair. According to the latest information, he has a long beard and hair.

After he did not respond to messages and emails sent to him on August 28, the family reported Legrand's disappearance to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which initiated the procedure and contacted the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Montenegro.

The family is asking anyone with any information about Paul Legrand to please submit it to the nearest Security Department.

The head of the Tivat Police Department, Mitar Tadić, told the local public service Radio Tivat today that "search measures and actions are being carried out with the aim of finding the named person."

"Several pieces of intelligence have been processed, checks have been sent to countries in the region and on the territory of Montenegro, and the search continues. A missing person's notice has been issued," Tadić said.

He appealed to citizens that if anyone has any information regarding the missing person, it is important to inform the nearest police station or the Tivat Police Station.
