Nikšić police arrested DM (22) from that city, and found 15 wooden batons, a hand torch, and other items suitable for concealing identity in the vehicle he was driving.
As announced by the Police Directorate, DM is a member of the "Delije" fan group from Nikšić.
"Last night, at around 20 pm, acting on operational information that there could be a conflict and disruption of public order between fan groups in the town of Kličevo in the evening, officers of the Nikšić Security Department undertook preventive activities and conducted surveillance of the said area. On that occasion, they stopped and inspected an Audi A3 passenger vehicle with Nikšić license plates on Školska Street, driven by DM (22) from Nikšić, a member of the 'Delije' fan group from Nikšić. During the inspection of the vehicle, means suitable for an attack were found - 15 wooden sticks, one hand torch, as well as other objects suitable for concealing identity, which were seized from DM," the police announced.
It is added that two minors, aged 17 and 16, from Nikšić, were also passengers in the vehicle.
"They were brought to the premises of the Nikšić Security Department to collect information, while the passenger motor vehicle was temporarily seized. The state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić was informed about the incident, who stated that there were no elements of a criminal offense in the aforementioned incident, but that DM was deprived of his liberty due to a violation of the Weapons Act. A misdemeanor report will be filed against DM in summary proceedings," it was announced.
