The first Balkan dramatization of "Capital", one of the most influential texts in the history of mankind and the most important work of the German economist and philosopher Karl Marx, will be performed tonight and tomorrow at the Royal Theater Zetski dom in Cetinje, at 20 pm both nights.
Director Andraš Urban, who signs the adaptation and visual identity of the play, and the acting ensemble consists of second year students of FDU Cetinje, from the class of prof. Branislav Mićunović: Jelena Laban, Jelena Šestović, Stevan Vuković and Pavle Prelević.
The actors are young, in their second year of college, only on the threshold of their twenties. Rebellion belongs to them, to speak directly and unequivocally in full voice with a punk sound.
The play calls into question everything, even attitudes that we consider to be axioms.
Figures on poverty in Montenegro, official data on the contents of the consumer basket, and the futility of nationalist arguments, all refer to the present moment, but, as Urban says, "reality is only an incentive to poetically articulate this topic in the play."
