In the City Hall in Nikšić, Miloš Kecojević's book "The Grandfather's Tale" was promoted, for which the author received the "Pledge" award last year, which is awarded by the "Vladimir Mijušković" Library Association (KZ).
As Dušan Govedarica, Kecojević's pen pal, said, the young author's time to prove himself is yet to come, and it is commendable that "his epic and lyrical poetry and prose".
"Grandfathers break the cobwebs of boredom with their words, while grandchildren are always in a hurry and have urgent work to do. So that the grandfather would not talk to the grandfather, the writer 'returned' the mischievous to listen and learn not only the past but also the prophetic, the future," Govedarica pointed out.
According to the poet Spasoj Bajović, the book "Pričaj đede" is "a collection of short stories from the present and past of Piva, a book rich in imagery, fullness and breadth of meaning of words". He pointed out that the author managed to translate the wealth of memories about notable personalities and events from Piva into an artistic expression of duration.
"The author did not go into the psycho-emotional states of his heroes, probably wanting to preserve the authenticity of his grandfather's story, which flows freely and rushes like a river to its mouth. The stories were conceived without emphasized decorum and pathos, based on lived and remembered experiences that were successfully woven into the structure of the book," emphasized Bajović.
The most important structural elements in Kecojević's prose, according to Bajović, are the picturesqueness and concreteness of the poetic language, while the richness is reflected in the use of lesser-known words, phrases and constructions.
"The book is written in an unforced, simple style that is based on the persuasiveness of the story and its message, through the permeation of descriptive and narrative details, as well as against the background of harmonious and plastic expression. I believe that the book 'Pričaj đede' is an introduction to the more complex artistic content that we rightly expect from this author", concluded Bajović.
The book, which consists of stories, was published by the Literary Association.
Kecojević writes epic and lyrical poetry and prose, and three years ago he published "Patriotski poimenik Piva", a book that represents a combination of epic-lyrical poetry and prose.
The moderator of the evening, which was organized by the National Library "Njegoš" and KZ "Vladimir Mijušković" as part of the February repertoire, was Mihailo Perošević, who read excerpts from the award-winning work.
Pianist Matija Bulajić and Katarina Dadić on guitar were responsible for the musical accompaniment.
