The promotion of the collection of short stories "Pupčanik" by the writer Nataša Žurić from Mojkovac will be held tonight at 20 pm in the bookstore "Obodsko slovo" in Capital Plaza in Podgorica.
The book was recently published by "Obodsko slovo" from Podgorica and "Štampar Makarije" from Belgrade, and the editor was Radomir Uljarević.
Danijela Ristić Radojević, Ph.D., Vanja Kovačević, Mladen Blažević, M.Sc. and Uljarević, M.Sc., will talk about the book in front of the publisher, and Sanja Pejović will be the moderator.
"The short story is a demanding form, which for me as an author is, on the one hand, a challenge, on the other hand, a terrain where I can concentrate on many topics that occupy me. The collection itself was completed four years ago, it was just waiting for the moment of its binding. There are a total of 24 stories of various topics, from those that talk about the life that surrounds us, to those that touch the margins of the human mind," said the author.
The reviewer Vanja Kovačević wrote that in Nataša Žurić's stories the reader can find "ordinary themes and ordinary people, strange moments and smells that will remind him that passing through life is not the same as crossing a field".
"Here are the events that will bring him back to the most beautiful moments of life, here he will encounter the rigidity of customs and their perniciousness, the attempt to break away from all that, to live our own lives to the fullest, to truly realize that life is not measured by the number of breaths, but by moments that take our breath away. But most of all, in her stories we will find endless expanses, new worlds that confirm the idea that the most important question is not how to survive, but how not to die after all the dying", stated Kovačević.
