Fifty artists from 26 countries participated in the World Festival of Literature and Art, which was held in Morocco, in the city of Sidi Bennour, and among them were two poets from Montenegro - Gordana Sarić and Slavka Klikovac.
"Josip Broz Tito founded the 'third world', and now poets and artists had the honor to 'found' the world of love, poetry, culture and peace, to show that poetry sounds beautiful and warm in all languages. The participants were from Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Spain, Italy, Bosnia, Croatia... There were language professors, literary critics, artists, magazine editors," said Sarić, who had the honor to hold a speech at the aforementioned festival on behalf of the participants. and the welcome speech, right after the poet Ahmed Shadi, the director of the festival.
The festival was organized by the General Union of Creators of Morocco headed by Mastaf Verseau, director of education in Morocco, organized the World Festival of Literature and Art. "The festival was also visited by the Minister of Culture of Morocco, to whom I was introduced as the European ambassador for culture. I used that to tell the minister what a beautiful country I come from," said Sarić, who recently won the first prize, a gold medal, at the World Literary Society competition in New Delhi, for the poem "My Soul" on the theme "Love and Light".
Sarićeva has long been said to be an ambassador of culture, and recently she officially became one. In the Romanian city of Sinai, at the European Poetry Festival, she was declared an ambassador of culture, and the award was presented to her by Trandafir Simpetru, president of the World Union of Writers for Romania. Before that, in Rome, in the palace of Florence, the headquarters of the "Dante Alighieri" society, she was presented with an award for investing in the spread of culture. She was in Italy at the invitation of Ređina Resta, the organizer of the "La voce dei poeti" festival. The president of the World Association of Poets of Italy, Silvano Bartollazi, named her a "guardian", the guardian of the world's poetic heritage. "I try to promote poets and festival organizers throughout the region," says the eternally young poetess, who started hanging out with poetry since childhood.
As a high school student, she started writing poetry, and published her first book in 1985. So far, he has published 18 books, including two short stories, four books for children, and the rest are collections of love poetry. And love is exactly what feeds it. Love for poetry, big-hearted people, Nikšić and Montenegro, beauty, and above all love for her Mom, a man with whom she shared good and bad for almost five decades and with whom, even after his death, she continued to exchange tenderness through verse.
"Poetry is my life and I am completely dedicated to poetry and cultural events, so I live in my own enchanted world and am outside of all other events, except humanitarian ones for which I am always there and try to help as much as I can. I am happy that I have found the meaning of life and that I am completely absorbed in poetry. "If I'm not at performances and festivals, I'm writing songs," she says.
Her poems about letters, composed by prof. Olja Drakić, are taught in the second grade of elementary school, and were released on a CD called "Pjesmoslov".
From festival to festival
Gordana is a French language teacher, originally from Hungary, born in Bosnia, in Konjic. From her father she inherited a talent for writing and music, from her mother for fashion and elegance. And she incorporated her own charm and refinement into it. She is the organizer of numerous cultural and humanitarian events, the winner of numerous awards, including the Nikšić Liberation Award, the "Vladimir Mijušković" Literary Club, for the best book of children's poetry, the first award of the United Publishers of Serbia for fostering classics in poetry, charters and awards for culture from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia... The association "ZID" awarded her the award for volunteer of the year.
Although she is in advanced years, she does not hold her place. She travels from festival to festival searching for verse, beauty and people who are on "her wavelength".
"Recently, I was in Tunisia as the Montenegrin ambassador of the World Foundation for Art and Culture of the Palestinian poet Munir Mezyed, a four-time candidate for the Nobel Prize. At his invitation, I attended the world poetry festival organized by the famous Tunisian poet and journalist Abdallahi Gasmi, former secretary of the Association of Writers of Tunisia".
Summer brings new poetry festivals, and Gordana will inevitably be a participant in them. Because where there are poets, beauty and love, she is there too.
