The exhibition entitled "Flaming dawn - 100 years of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia", organized by the National Museum of Montenegro, will be opened tonight at 19 pm, in the Montenegrin art gallery "Miodrag Dado Đurić" in Cetinje.
The aim of the exhibition is to examine, from today's perspective, the role, history and achievements of the KPJ. At the exhibition, through several fragments, the so-called museological islands, the story of KPJ will be told through specific topics... Thus, there will be segments dedicated to Montenegrin communists, NOB, KPJ congresses, ideology, industrialization and construction, youth relay, art in the age of socialism, and a special section will be dedicated to Cetinje - to the hero city. The audience will, among other things, have the opportunity to see Montenegrin relays from the 50s, Sava Kovačević's rifle, Hasena Terzić's prison shirt, the bicycle that 14-year-old Ilija Jabučanin used to rescue from the hospital the commissioner of the Lovcen detachment, Ilija Vujović, who was sentenced to death , the library of Svetozar Vukmanović Tempo, photographs of Tito's visits to Montenegro, paintings by Petr Lubarda, Đorđe Andrejević Kun and Anton Lukatelli from the period of socialist realism, propaganda and art films from the period of early socialism, partisan songs and songs dedicated to Tito, records and singles by Yugoslav musicians...
The special value of the exhibition is given by the citizens who got involved during the preparation process and made it richer with their memories and information.
The exhibition is accompanied by a book published by the National Museum with a series of expert texts that shed light on KPJ from different angles, from general historical texts to texts dealing with individual phenomena. The public will be able to see the exhibition until April 1, 2020.
During the duration of the exhibition, a series of compatible accompanying programs will be organized.
The partners of the National Museum in the organization of the exhibition are the Museum of Yugoslavia from Belgrade, the Montenegrin Cinematheque, the National Library "Đurđe Crnojević", JU Museums and Galleries of Podgorica, the Assembly, the Municipality of Andrijevica, as well as a large number of other institutions and individuals.
The curators of the exhibition are Dr. Anastazija Miranović, Ljiljana Karadžić, Filip Kuzman and Vukan Ražnatović, and the collaborators on the project are Bozena Miljić, Luka Jovanović and Ivan Mijanović.
