There is no Les or his poetry without Cetinje

Aleksandar Leso Ivanović, the poet of the moment, said that someone needs the sea as inspiration, and that one puddle is enough for him, reminded the audience prof. Dr. Dragan Koprivica at a literary dinner on Thursday evening in the National Library of Montenegro "Đurđe Crnojević" in Cetinje, on the occasion of the presentation of Les's collected works published by Unireks.

Koprivica also added that Ivanović possessed such humanity, thanks to which he is "the greatest lyrical poet of Montenegro, along with Njegoš, the greatest epic poet", stressing that it is no coincidence that both of them are from the same region.

Academician Pavle Goranović pointed out that the climate in which Leso was born had an impact on his life and creativity.

"There is no Les or his poetry without Cetinje, that classy autumn, vulnerable. Without that deaf silence of Cetinje that arouses feelings of pride, anxiety and imprisonment. Just as there is no Cetinje without Les, without thoughts about its duration and its magnetic grounding in that world of petrified sadness," said Goranović.

Remembering his father, chess grandmaster Božidar Bonja Ivanović spoke about the difficult fate that befell them, but also about the beautiful moments.

"He was very responsible, and at the same time very modest. I remember that he was very attentive to his old mother, but also to our mother, his wife, who took care of him, understood all his sorrows, burdens, burdens, helped to him as much as she could and he was very grateful," Ivanovic said.

Les's verses were spoken by the actor of the Montenegrin National Theater Slobodan Marunović, and the mediator of the program was Anastasija Petrović, a student of the second grade of the Cetinje Gymnasium.
