"Horizons" by the painter Goran Ćetković

After presenting his new cycle of paintings "Horizons" in Kolašin, Montenegrin painter Goran Ćetković is exhibiting in Mojkovac today, and the exhibition will be opened in the gallery of the "Nenad Rakočević" Cultural Center at 19 p.m. The installation consists of 40 oils and acrylics on canvas, and the theme is landscape. The artist says that his works this time are dominated by motifs of land, water and sky, as well as the remains of ruined architecture, the Montenegrin karst, the homeland, and in addition to the beauty of the landscape, an atmosphere of transience is also felt.

"With the cycle of paintings 'Horizons', I premiered in Kolašin. The exhibition was extremely well attended and the impressions are beautiful. This was followed by an invitation from the editor of the art program of the Mojkovac Cultural Center, Mladen Blažević, and I was happy to respond, so here I am on Friday evening in Mojkovac. What makes me especially happy is that these two exhibitions were realized at the invitation of experts from the Center for Culture from these two municipalities. I didn't plan to exhibit in the coming period, but after these two invitations, a third one is not ruled out," he says ahead of the exhibition, which is also its thirtieth anniversary.

Art historian Draginja Kujović, on the occasion of this installation in Kolašin, noted that Ćetković simplified and simplified the landscape, which represents "the medium of the painter's message, the painter's investigative character."

"Ćetković summarized the investigative painterly expression and touching sincere experience into pure lyrical poetics of nature. The freshness and sensitivity of the atmosphere of Ćetković's appetizers speak of his extraordinary power of perception. The atmosphere of the painted dusk, rainy day, eclipse, morning, spreads evenly on the canvas and some sound of longing and nostalgia spreads over those vistas. And in this cycle of appetizers, which differs both in terms of artistic expression and subject matter from his previous creative oeuvre, Ćetković dominates the strength of his personality, the restless research energy communicated through countless oil and acrylic paintings on canvas, of larger and smaller dimensions in one creative stroke. wrote Kujović and pointed out that Ćetković is the embodiment of strong activism in contemporary Montenegrin painting, especially in terms of the breadth and size of his painting oeuvre.
