The first online European film festival in Montenegro starts on Monday.
The Delegation of the European Union in Montenegro and the EU Info Center traditionally organize a film festival every year, and this year, in accordance with the situation, they are doing it online for the first time. From May 18 to June 18, 19 films of European production will be available to viewers.
All those interested can register online, after which they will get access to the platform where they can watch the offered films, free of charge.
"This festival is already traditionally shown every year in different Montenegrin cities. This year, unfortunately, European films will not tour Montenegro, but that is why they will be available to everyone online. The films are of different genres, latest European productions and are supported by European funds. They have been shown at prestigious European and international festivals, and many have won prestigious film awards. That's why I invite our audience to join us again this year, in a slightly different way. I am sure that movie lovers can find what they are interested in in our repertoire," she said Ana Popovic, PR and event manager at the EU info center.
The repertoire of the first online European film festival includes the Slovenian drama "Consequences", the Austrian documentary "Homo Sapiens", the drama "Step behind the Seraphim" from Romania, the British film "Ray and Liz", the Dutch documentary "Stranger in Paradise", the Croatian drama- comedy "The Constitution of the Republic of Croatia", with Nebojsko Glogovac in the lead role, as well as the Finnish documentary "Veera's Magical Life", the Cypriot-German comedy "Smugglers of Hendrix", the Czech film "Winter Flies", the documentary "The Unsolved Case of Hammarskjöld" and the Italian family comedy "My Brother Chases Dinosaurs" ".
A special segment of the festival consists of eight short films about climate change.
