The program of the "We are one" film festival has been published.

From May 29 to June 7, the global film festival "We Are One" will show on its YouTube channel more than 100 films selected by the selectors of twenty leading film festivals from around 35 countries, including the Berlinale, Cannes, Venice, and Sarajevo. film festival.

In addition to film screenings, "We are one" includes accompanying talks, VR content and musical performances.

As the organizers explained, this ten-day digital event honors artists from all over the world and spotlights achievements that can bring about change and productively connect a global audience.

The festival brought together some of the world's most talented artists, narrators and selectors in order to provide film fans with entertainment and comfort during the Covid-19 pandemic, and support for organizations fighting this global health challenge.

Mirsad Purivatra and Jovan Marjanović, on behalf of the Sarajevo Film Festival, said that festivals are places of connection, gathering and sharing, and now, more than ever, these are key things "for the restoration of social capital, rethinking existing models of film production and shaping a common future".

"Festivals are places that allow us to decide together where we want to go and to show that we are all part of the same whole - one. We are happy to be part of the joint project of Tribeca, YouTube and world film festivals and that we can present regional and international films to audiences around the world by authors who were created in Sarajevo. We hope you will enjoy it and that we will soon see each other again at festivals and in cinema halls," said Purivatra and Marjanović.

The organizers singled out the online premiere of the documentary "Ricky Powell: The Individualist", which was spoken by Natasha Lyonne and El Cool Jay, the global premiere of the documentary "Third Eye Blind's Motorcycle Drive By", and conversations with authors such as Francis Ford Coppola, Steven Soderbergh and Bong Joon-ho.

All separate festival selections are designed to present the peculiarities of the individual film festivals that participated in its preparation, while at the same time providing the authors of the selected films with access to viewers around the world.

For many of the more than one hundred included films, participation in the festival represents a significant milestone, since 13 of them will have their world premiere, 31 will have their online premiere, and five will have their international premiere.

The program on the YouTube channel "WeAreOne" includes a total of 23 narrative and eight documentary feature films, 57 narrative and 15 documentary short films, 15 archival and four exclusive festival talks, and five program content from the domain of virtual reality.

"We often say that film has a unique and powerful power to inspire and unite people regardless of their differences and boundaries and thus contribute to the healing of the world," said Tribeca Enterprises CEO Jane Rosenthal, who co-founded the Tribeca Film Festival in New York with Robert de Niro.

She also expressed the hope that viewers will have the opportunity to discover what makes each film festival unique and to realize the true importance of art and the power of film.

As in the case of the recent global concert "One World: Together At Home", which collected approximately 130 million dollars in donations, the festival "We Are One" will direct all the money collected to the Solidarity Fund of the World Health Organization, as and local humanitarian organizations around the world.
